How come Arnold Schwarzanegger doesn't sound like other Australians (Nicole Kidman, Crocodile Dundee, AC/DC)?

I like Australia and admire it's culture ---I like AC/DC and I watch Nicole Kidman movies and I own an old VHS copy of Crocodile Dundee, plus I like that they have beaches and their friends of America, they seem like really cool people, but every time I hear Gov. Schwarzanegger speak he doesn't sound Australian at all. All of the Australians I hear sound almost English but like normal English people not royal family English but he sounds weird. Is his accent from just a different part or do most Australians come from a part where the accent is more English like?
