Will the dead guy voting in (?) have more influence on an election if the electoral college were scrapped?

Will the dead guy who votes in (insert name of city or town) have more influence on an election if the electoral college were scrapped? Right now, it seems, the influence of corruption stops at the state line. That likely would not be the case if the electoral college went away. What do you think?
