Why cant i find a girl friend?

im 17 and about to be a senior at my school. I'm not gonna lie, i'm more book smart than the average guy. I treat everyone i meet with respect and friendliness, especially the girls. I am a good listener and have never had any widespread drama like most other guys that can pull a girl by looking at them. I even exercise regularly to stay fit. Even all the girls around me will say i'm handsome, yet no girl i flirt with will ever date me. What am i doing wrong?
