Would you go back in time?

If you could, would you go back in time to change anything that you didn't like and make it better? (If paradoxes not being an issue) (I have seen all 3 back to the future movies and get them) Also, surely you wouldn't just fade away if you saw yourself in the past and like how Marty nearly does in the first one. Just out of interest this q.
