Wow! Good stuff! FDR and the New Deal gave many blacks a welfare check. Coupled with Democratic racism they were held down. Hence, the birth of generational welfare. My wife asked her black co-workers the question ,"Why do you always vote Democrat?". The reply was,"Well, because I'm black!" and the woman laughed as if my wife was dumb. They worked in a nursing home in Florida and the staff was 50% black and 50% white. She then began to debate several of them as to why they should vote Republican instead. It even came down to administration demanding no political ons be worn in the nursing home. This was the year 2000 and the majority of her black co-workers ended up voting for GWB.
